A short work week but an incredibly hot one in my neck of the woods. I’d planned to make Wednesday one where I sat on the deck and read a good book but things didn’t work out as planned. Hopefully some cool air will come through here soon so I can get caught up on my reading.
I had my first review for Last First Kiss today. It’s a good one and always a relief when you know someone likes your work.
I did some more edits this week and also worked on my third story in the Perfect Pairing series. Today I’m outlining a short story that I want to submit for the RNA anthology.
Still waiting to hear about four projects that are out and circulating. Summer’s a tough time because lots of people take breaks or short work weeks. Hopefully next week I’ll have some good news to share with you during my ramblings.
One piece of advice I heard this week is to read outside your comfort zone. If you only read mysteries, try some sci fi or you’re only a genre reader, try some literary novels. And if you never pick up an non-fiction book, head down to the libary this weekend.
Here’s to a cooler or just less humid next week. Happy writing and have a great weekend.
