Friday Ramblings From An Author

Hope everyone saw the book giveaway I’m offering this week. It ends at midnight today so if you still want a chance to win a copy of How To Write A Romance Novel just leave a comment telling me why you’d like to win.

And also hope you saw my interview with one of my former students, if not be sure to check it out.

Next week I’ll be posting an interview with a company in the UK that lets you create print books for free.  These are such exciting times for us writers.

I’ve been so busy that I lost track of time and didn’t realize that next week is a holiday.  I just had a book released on Monday, two today, and completely forgot I have another slated for release next Wednesday. It’s the first of three Christmas themed stories and it’s called Baby It’s Cold Outside.

Here’s the cover-

One thing I’ve learned about being a freelance writer is even when you’re busy you have to look for your next gig. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing this week and keeping my fingers crossed it will pay off.

This last week I also discovered a downside to working in a home-based office and testing recipes, and that’s  food’s always available. You really don’t want to know how many brownies I’ve eaten this past week. I’m very British and always stop mid-afternoon for a cup of tea but the last few days, brownies have accompanied that cuppa. Patio chair cushions are currently sitting on top of the treadmill in my basement but I think I’ll be needing it soon. Either that or bigger pants!

Have a good weekend, and to everyone based in the US, Happy Thanksgiving and don’t eat too much, or spend too much on Black Friday.

Happy writing to all.
