Friday Ramblings From An Author

Hope you all saw the post about the eight author giveway. Today’s my day to give away a Vanilla-Free Christmas over at www.vanessadevereaux.com. And while you’re there, Evernight Christmas Blog Hop is still going on if you want to leave a comment and win some prizes.

Today saw the release of my last story of the year, Naughty Noelle. I’m already working on another story for the Romance on the Go line and have to say writing shorter stories inbetween the  longer ones is perfect for me. I’m also still working on the romantic suspense, and the fourth story in my Perfect Pairing series.

This week it’s been mostly editing stories. I’m all done with edits for The One and Only, my children’s story that’s scheduled for an April release. I’ll be updating all my Web sites over the Christmas holiday and I’ll be adding the book cover for it.

I also added more workshops that I’ll be teaching next year. I thought it would be a slower year but suddenly my schedule’s been filling up. Next up for me is the short story workshop in February which I’m looking forward to.

And anyone write screenplays or thinking about it? Earlier this year I bought the Final Draft software to turn my mystery into a screenplay and yes, got sidetracked with one too many other projects. It’s on next year’s to do list but the other day I saw that you can use free software from Adobe.

Here’s the link if you have the burning desire to pen a screenplay and don’t have the budget for software. If any of you use it I’d love to hear what you think-

And speaking of writing for the screen, whether big or small. AFI released their list of the best TV series and movies of 2012. Glad to see that some of my favorites made it there-

Another full work week and then it’s Christmas. It all comes and goes so fast so be sure to enjoy the last two weeks of 2012 be it spent writing or not.

Have a good weekend and happy writing to all.
