Hope it’s been a good week for you and here we are already at the last Friday of the month. Luckily I’ve got a lot done so far.
I’m getting ready to teach my first workshop of the year. It’s a new one and yes, I’ll give it a small piece of promotion here. It’s Crafting The Short Story and is offered through the Colorado Romance Writers. It’s the only time I’m teaching it this year so if you’re thinking about short story writing I’d love for you to join in. Here’s the link if you want to sign up. Classes start on Monday February 4th and run until the 28th. Click on the link and then scroll down until you find the February listings.
While the workshop is running, and if I get time, I’m hoping to interview some publications that feature short stories and will post them here. Many have said the short story form is dying but I think now’s a great time to write them because electronic publishing has opened up new markets.
This week I got a contract for my fourth story in the Perfect Pairing series. I have a special fondness for those. This one is called Matters Of The Heart and is set in Montana. I think it should be published in April or thereabouts.
My next release is Feb 13th, another Romance On the Go story called Saturday Night Blues and yes, it has a Valentine’s theme to it. As soon as I get the cover I’ll post it here.
I just finished an article on probiotics for one of my regular clients and now I’m finishing my book proposal for a cookbook.
Also this week I proofed the book I’m self pubbing with FeedARead. Just waiting for everything to be finalized and we should be good to go. The whole process was quick and easy which is always a plus for someone like me who often gets lost with anything technical.
And I forgot to post this cover here when I first received it. It’s one for my April release from MuseIt Up, my children’s book, The One and Only-
I’m now about to give a final read through of my book proposal before I hit the send key.
Stay warm, have a good weekend, and happy writing.
