Friday Ramblings From An Author-Hot Summer Days

Is it scorching hot where you live? It probably is if the weather reports are anything to go by. Where I live it’s hot and humid…never a good combination. I’m just glad I got some outdoor chores done earlier in the week.

One good thing about hot muggy weather is you stay inside and as a writer that means more time either writing or reading. I have to say I’ve marked more off my to do list since I closed the windows and turned on the air conditioning. See there’s a silver lining in every cloud if you look hard enough!

Yesterday was book release day for me. This time it was Writing Your First Erotic Romance and Erotica Story that I’ve published under my pen name. Here’s a look at the cover

I woke up this morning to see it on two bestseller lists so it made for a very happy Friday for me.

I probably won’t release anything next month but hope to get back to one story a week or at least every other week in September and continue that schedule through December.

I like to think of the upcoming fall season as the start of a new year and I’m busy writing down everything I want to work on in the next year. Teaching is going to take up more of my time so every hour of writing will have to be more focused.

How about you, any plans for new stories or have you thought about goals you want to achieve by the end of the year? Feel free to share them with your fellow writers as This Writer’s Life is turning into a wonderful writing community…more about this soon!

Have a good week and happy writing to all.
