Another month draws to a close and we’re probably about midway through summer. It’s passing by quickly and I’m ashamed to say I haven’t progressed as much as I’d like with my reading list. Sometimes when you work with words all day the last thing you want to do is look at more of them.
So what do you do in your downtime? Last year when I was Christmas shopping, I saw one of those adult coloring books and a set of pencils and decided to buy one. I didn’t realize how addictive they are and coloring has become one of my favorite downtime pastimes. They say it’s yoga for the brain and I have to admit it’s the perfectly thing to do after writing time is over. Anyone else tried them and what do you think? Do you hate the craze or love it?
Speaking of Christmas, yesterday I saw that there’s only 21 weekends left until it rolls around again. I have lots of stories planned between now and then and probably more will pop into my head and take priority.
I’m just about done with the first draft of my second story in the Forbidden Shifters series. I’m also revamping three older stories. I’m anxious to get back to a cowboy story and also itching to write a mystery. I’ve thought of a new series but that might have to wait until the New Year.
And today I got news about what I hope will be a big promotional boost for one of my older books. Nothing definite yet but I’ll tell you all about it if and when it happens.
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
