Dream On…

I’ve always been a planner…more of a dreamer, maybe.  Life has more than once interrupted those dreams and it’s made me more cynical about saying I want to do this and do that…just in case I’m tempting fate.

As the calendar turned to 2019, I sat down and thought about lots of things. One of them being that I’ve now lived longer than a lot of people in my family and that I’m inching closer to the age that my father passed away. Actually just two years away from when he started to not feel that great and life wasn’t so much fun for him.

I’ve achieved a lot of my dreams since his passing but there are more things on my bucket list. I never want time to run out on me so I’ve decided I better start doing something toward crossing more things off my list.

I’ve decided that it’s time to get serious about this whole writing for TV thing. I’m reading…no, I’m absorbing all the books on the subject that I can get my hands on. I’ve decided that all the ideas in my writing notebook won’t be for novels but for scripts.  The mysteries I’m working on are going to be in script form. It’s going to be a learning curve, they maybe awful, they might not even get any interest but I’m going to say I lived another one of my dreams.

Travel and doing volunteer work with rescue animals are also on my list. I’ll probably be calling it a day with my teaching and tutoring in the not so distant future so I can focus on these pursuits, but one thing I’ll never quit doing is writing.

So that’s my dream, and the main thing on my bucket list, and now I’d love to hear what’s on yours.
