Tuesday Guest Blogger-Dee Knight

Let’s welcome the last of our March guest bloggers, Dee Knight…

When did you begin writing?
I wrote my first book, Impatient Passion, in 2002. I wasn’t one of those people who dreamed of writing a book and started early on, I’m afraid. Instead, it was kind of a lark and because I had time on my hands. But I took to it right away.

What’s been your biggest challenge?
Marketing!!! I wish I were one of those people who had experience in marketing before I started writing so I had some idea of what to do. But most of the time I feel like I’m floundering my way through what to do after the book is finished.

Why did you choose your genre?
I never read romance at all, until I was in mid-life. It’s not that I looked down on it, I just had no interest. But once I picked up a romance, I couldn’t get enough. I believe in real love, true love. Love that will last through eternity. So I guess it’s no surprise that when I started writing, I would gravitate to romance. I got involved in erotic romance simply because the publisher said she wanted erotic romance. Until then I had no idea what erotic romance was. Then I found that it’s fun. 😉

What writing tips would you like to share?
Write, write, and write some more. Don’t try to write what others are doing—unless it’s what you actually want to write, too. Instead, write what speaks to your heart. Learn your craft and what makes a good book. EDIT!!!

What are you currently working on?
I’m writing Book 3 of the Good Man series. It’s Mark’s book. He’s the genius triplet and very much compelled by his work—until he meets a woman who turns his head. It never occurs to him to ask why she’s attracted to him, until it’s too late.

What would you like to promote today?
I write under three pen names: Dee S. Knight, Anne Krist, and Jenna Stewart. As Anne Krist I’ve just published Burning Bridges. Burning Bridges has just been awarded 5 stars from Mary Anne Yarde at Coffee Pot Book Club!! “Burning Bridges by Anne Krist is a story of a love that will not be denied — that cannot be denied. … I loved every minute of this book. If you are looking for you next great romance, then look no further. Burning Bridges has it all, and then some.”
