There’s been a touch of fall in the air but it’s perfect take your work outside weather. In fact, I had an outside office for most of the afternoon. I’m happy to say I think the fresh air made me more productive. So give outside writing a try and see what happens.
I have some classes to tell you about (yes, a little shameless self promotion).
I’m teaching two workshops beginning on Wednesday August 1st-
The first one is about creating characters readers will love, here’s the link and scroll down (yes, right now it reads creating people characters will love but it’s the right one)
http://www.oirwa.com/forum/campus/
The second one is about creating great beginning chapters for your story. The saying is you only get one shot at making a good first impression and that’s true for story’s too so here’s a link to that one-

And I uploaded another class to the Skillshare platform. This one is a short 20 minute one focusing on 15 tips to make you a better writer. Here’s the link to that one-

As always, if you know someone who’s interested in any of these topics, I’d love for you to share these links.
I’m still working on some projects that I hope to have ready by the end of August. I think one will be really useful to anyone thinking about taking part in this year’s NaNoWriMo or wanting to be more productive in their writing.
Besides coaching and mentoring, most of the week was focused on other future ventures and yes, working on my mystery. Most of the writer’s groups have been quiet and I’m guessing everyone’s on vacation or in that state of mind as we edge closer to August.
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
