Friday Ramblings From An Author-Getting Close to a New Release

It’s almost mid November and I’m about two weeks away from releasing a new book. You’d think by now I wouldn’t give it a second thought, wouldn’t get excited about it, but it’s my first ‘new’ one in what seems like forever.

For the last three years, the majority of books I’ve published have been back titles. In fact, I’ve been so busy working on them, I didn’t have time to write many new stories. This year, I told myself, I had to write a new one.

Next week, I’ll be working on final edits and then formatting it. It’s going to be book 14 in my Kalispell Shifters series which makes it even more exciting. An author hates to play favorites with series and characters but I have a soft spot in my heart for this one. It could be because the first book in the series got me onto the bestseller lists for the very first time on two sites, or just that I find them fun to write. This time around, the plot even gave me an idea for book 15 and two spin off series.

Just a few more things on my to do list today, and then I can’t wait for the weekend. I have a long list of movies I want to watch, well, that is after I’ve done a little fall cleaning.
