One question I always get asked by beginning freelance writers is how do you get clips if no one will assign a story to you without a clip. I know it’s the ultimate Catch 22 but one way to help yourself and others is to write something for a non-profit organization. Pick a cause that’s dear to your heart and contact that charity and ask if you can help them write a story or press release or whatever. It’s good karma all around.
I’m about ready to start writing some fiction for the day. I’m working on the final draft of the fifth Perfect Pairing story, and as I mentioned before, got started on the second Niki Webber story this week.
Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, and for those of you in the UK, Bank Holiday. Have fun and happy writing.
