Friday Ramblings From An Author-Indoor Writing Weather

Today’s the hottest one so far this summer. I promised myself I’d spend time indoors (in the luxury of air-conditioning), writing, but alas it didn’t happen. Since childhood I’ve been a Manchester United fan and their Saturday game was brought forward to Friday evening, which was mid-afternoon where I’m at. I know I should have been working, but the temptation to watch was too great, and I’m happy to say they won the game.

I’m 10,000 words into my WIP. I’ve had some really good days where I’ve written about 2,500 words. I often find some stories are easier to write than others but haven’t figured out why. This will be a shorter one so I hope to have the first draft finished by next weekend.

Just about everything is ready for the release of the book I told you about in my separate post yesterday. Another September release will be book ten in the Kalispell Shifter series, although I haven’t done my edits for it yet or been given a release date.

I’ll keep this ramble short because I have to make up some time for taking the afternoon easy.

Have a wonderful week and happy writing to all.
