Wow, what a week it’s been. Late Tuesday afternoon, a huge storm rolled through town and we lost power for about 16 hours. Luckily there wasn’t any damage like the storm back in 2013 but it isn’t until you’re without electricity that you realize how much you rely it for so much.
No computer, no TV, and no lights during an evening with dark storm clouds lingering overhead. It was a time to bring out the candles and the board games and go back to a way of life that seems long forgotten now.
Worst part was no Internet connection where I could make contact with my students and post lessons. And no morning cup of tea.
Moral of the story, never throw away board games or print books, stock up on candles, and buy a gas oven if you want a hot beverage in the morning.
After playing catch up for the rest of the week, I’ve been putting the finishing touches to two non-fiction writing books I’ll be publishing in the next few weeks. After that it’s time to revamp more back titles and get started on books in all my new series.
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
Sounds like a hectic time. Glad to hear you’re doing fine!
