If you’re taking part in NaNoWriMo, how are things going? I intended to write some posts about it this week but got too busy but I’ll try and write something inspiring next week.
This week has focused on setting goals for 2018. I’ve decided writing classes will feature heavily. I want to put together something for both freelance writers and aspiring novel writers. I get lots of questions about freelance writing and I’ve never written about it or written many posts on the topic.
I also want to expand this site. I know I keep saying I want it to be a great writing community but I’ve promised myself that in 2018, I’m going to make it happen.
How about you? Have you made any plans for 2018? Do they include writing a novel or taking a chance on becoming a full time freelance writer? I’d love to hear what you’ll focus on.
I have three Christmas stories I’m currently revamping and hope to have them done by this time next week. I’m way behind with my reading list but now that the nights are getting longer and it’s stay inside cold, I should gradually get caught up.
What are you planning to read this coming winter? Any books you’d love to receive this holiday season?
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
Hi, great post – short and made me think about significant things, about my passions and goals 🙂 I love reading and writing too.
You may want to have a look at my blog post if you have a moment. I’m writing about personal growth and positive psychology mostly: https://mindset4progress.wordpress.com/2017/12/29/why-92-people-dont-achieve-their-personal-goals/
I’ve received a few great ‘self-development’ books for Xmas! (Santa has been very generous this year for me) so I’ll be reading these. There are some titles by Tim Ferris or Angela Duckworth but I’ll give all titles and authors when my new blog post is ready soon.
I’m in the process of planning my goals yet – I want them to be specific and have good action plans for them – without that it would be very difficult to achieve them..
Happy New Year! 🙂
Aggie
Hi Aggie, happy New Year to you too. Thanks for stopping by and good luck with all your goals-Susan P.
