Monday Motivation-Don’t Leave the Station Too Soon

One of the first how to write books I ever read said that waiting and then getting published is a lot like waiting for a train.

Everyone stands waiting for the train to arrive. It’s sometimes late, people get impatient and leave.

Just as they leave the station that train arrives.

For those patient enough to wait, they hop on the train and get to their destination.

Getting published isn’t easy, some writers get impatient and ‘leave the station’. Sometimes only weeks or months before that ‘train’ finally arrives.

This quote reminds me of that story so I wanted to share both with you for this Monday Motivation post. If you’re thinking about leaving the station, don’t just give the train chance to arrive.
