Wednesday Writing/Journal Prompts-Stories

For this week, I thought we’d merge the short story and journaling prompt together.

Think about a story you read and enjoyed so much that it’s been a keeper in your story collection.

For the short story writer, this will get you thinking about what makes a good story and what made you enjoy it so much.

Make a list of why you love it so much.

Characters, plot, setting…

For journal writers, you can do the same thing but focus more on what this story means to you. What’s its theme and does it have any significance to a specific time in your life?

Did it help you get through a bad time or maybe it made you laugh.

Have fun and happy writing.
