Seems like forever since I’ve posted anything here. Yes, I know I’m being overly dramatic and it’s only been two weeks. Welcome to the New Year and a very happy 2020 to you.
Did you notice the slight tweak in the look of the site? My plan was to use a different theme but then I thought why fix what isn’t broken so I made a few adjustments to the old one. New header image, new color theme, and most importantly, a new tagline which is now live your dream. Let that be our goal as we start this new year and beyond.
If writing a book or even beginning your writing journey is on your list of things to do, TWL is here to help you do just that.
So, what have I been doing during the holiday break? Watched a whole bunch of movies and made progress with my artwork. I think I’ll soon be confident enough to share a few pieces with you.
Two new writing classes begin on Monday or I should say, are supposed to begin on Monday but we have really low enrollment which isn’t that unusual for January. The short story class looks like it will be cancelled. The plotting boot camp is in grave danger of going the same way. I hate to see that happen so if you or anyone you know has an interest in either topic, here’s the link to sign up.

And before the break when I created the sign up form for guest bloggers, yes, yours truly messed up big time. Instead of adding one sign up for each week, I somehow created two. I keep telling you I’m Ms. Untechy and this is proof. Today, I deleted one sign up for each week but it looks like it’s simply deleted people who did sign up and I definitely don’t want that to happen or you to think I don’t want you guest blogging. If you signed up or got a message from Sign Up Genius that your guest spot has been canceled, that’s not the case. If you could go to the sign up form again and pick another date that would be great.

Having said that, next week, we’ll have a guest blogger on both Tuesday and Thursday. On Monday, we’ll kick things off with our Motivational Monday and Wednesday’s Prompt will be a little different. I got an e-mail yesterday that sparked an idea that I want to share with you and thought it would be a perfect match for Wednesday Prompts and the ideal way to kick off a new year of writing.
What are your goals for the year? One of mine is to get classes created with video that I can load to my own site. One other thing (I’ve mentioned this before), I’m relaunching my Budget Smart Girl site and the theme there is live the life you love and its new focus is finding a way to live the life you desire or realizing your dream (for lots of us, that’s writing). If that interests you then head over to www.budgetsmartgirl.com and sign up to receive all the posts. I’ll also be featuring Wednesday Interviews with people who are running businesses so if that’s you or someone you know, you can contact me at budgetsmartqueries@gmail.com.
And one last thing, yes, more shameless self promoting, if you want to keep track of all your writing this year, I created a new journal and it’s available in print at Amazon or if you don’t mind a digital copy, it’s on sale at my Etsy store, Artey Crafety.
Here’s a look at the cover-
That’s about it…have any suggestions for content you’d like to see in 2020? Authors you’d like to know more about, writing problems you’re struggling with, publishers you’d love to see featured? Feel free to contact me at writerslifeblog@gmail.com
‘See’ you all on Monday.
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
