Friday Ramblings From An Author-Last One In June

I’m not sure where June went but it seems to have flown by quicker than previous months. Maybe it’s because I’ve been busy which is always a good thing.

Bringing Home The Bear was released on Monday and I was excited to see that All Romance eBooks have it as one of their featured bestsellers on their landing page.

Next release is The Pleasure Room on July 4th and it’s my first book for Forever More Publishing.

Today I finished the second story in the Big Sky County series. I have to say that writing about anything featuring a cowboy is a favorite for me. Next up, I’m planning to tackle two new stories at the same time. I have so many ideas rattling around in my head that if I don’t start doing it I’m scared I’ll never get around to writing them.

Speaking of which, a couple of people have asked me how authors ever get around to finishing books. My tip is to set yourself a deadline. Imagine that you’ve been given an advance for your novel and a date on which you need to hand over your manuscript to your editor. If you don’t then you have to return the money. Bottom line is deadlines are an author’s friend not their enemy.

For those of you in the US, have a safe and fun Fourth of July.

Happy writing.
