Friday Ramblings From An Author-Lazy Friday Afternoon

Sometimes you have to take a break from work and that’s what I did this afternoon. I watched some of the Olympics and then some football (as I call it but I know lots of you think of it as soccer). I’m happy to say the team I support won and now it’s time to get back to some work.

Just a few more weeks and it’s back to teaching and I promised both chapters I’d do some promoting during this ramblings. I’m teaching writing a continuing series for the Low Country chapter of RWA and also a bootcamp titled My Story’s Been Rejected Now What? for the Colorado chapter. If either topic is something that might interest you (or you know someone else who’s looking for workshops on either topic), I’d love to ‘see’ you or them in class.

I’m putting the finishing touches on the three books I’m revamping. I plan to release a book each Thursday during September. It’s going to be a busy month so I’m planning ahead and getting some chores crossed off my to do list.

I’m currently looking for a new desk but so far haven’t seen anything that I like. I need something big enough for the monitor, laptop, printer, speakers, and keyboards so it has to be one with a pull out drawer. I’ve seen a few that are for gamers but they’re on the small side. Anyone have any recommendations for something that fits the bill but doesn’t break the bank?

Have a good week and happy writing to all.
