Around this time of the year, I’m usually complaining about the cold and snow, but not this year. It’s not because I’m suddenly enjoying it, but there’s no snow and it’s been in the 40s. Depending on where you live, you might think 40 plus degrees is nothing to get excited about, but believe me, where I live if it’s that warm and it’s December, it’s party time.
It’s not just the weather that’s making me feel like it can’t possibly be just two weeks until Christmas Day, but also the speed at which this year’s flown by. I’m told feeling that way is one of the first signs you’re getting older!
My next release is on Thursday and the last one of 2015. And I have a 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway going on over on my Vanessa Devereaux site if anyone’s interested. I’m giving away an e-book a day and today it’s day 2.
Just three more weeks and a new year begins and it’s also back to teaching workshops. January kicks off with a new one called So Your Story’s Been Rejected. It’s all about ways to stand back take another look at your work, tweak it, improve it and make it ready to send out again. It’s also ideal for anyone who wants to give a final polish to their NaNoWriMo story. So spread the word if you know anyone who fits into that category.
I’m now 6,000 words into my WIP. Not sure when it will be finished but my goal is to get one more story written by the time the calendar flips over to 2016.
Have a good week and happy writing to all.
