I usually write my fiction in the early evening and when we put the clocks forward one hour it means I’m suddenly writing while it’s still light outside. I’m not sure if I write better or faster when the curtains are pulled and the fire’s burning or when it’s bright and sunny outside. After this long, cold winter one thing I’m looking forward to is going for a daily stroll for not only exercise but to get the creative juices flowing. I don’t know about you but there’s something about walking that can get a stuck writing project back into gear.
Speaking of projects, I’ve worked on three this week. A cookbook, my new shifter story, and also an e-book I’m planning to self publish on writing a synopsis. How to write a synopsis continues to be the most popular workshop I teach so I thought why not turn it into an e-book and that way people who don’t have the time or the budget to take a workshop can have access to it as well.
I’m now on my second draft of the shifter story. My goal is to have it finished by the end of the month. Next up for me will be another story in my Perfect Pairing series, and also another story that’s been in my head for some time. It’s an historical and I haven’t written one for over a year. I think it will be fun doing some research again.
Happy writing.
