Friday Ramblings From An Author-Summer Reading Ahead

writing-828911_640

Today is the warmest day of the year so far, well at least where I live. Close to ninety degrees and it’s got me thinking summer reading.

For me, one of the best things about summer is taking a book outside and seating reading until the sun goes down (or the mosquitos start to bite).

I haven’t made my summer reading list yet. I do know some of them will be carryovers from last year’s one. My local library has it’s semi-annual book sale next week and it’s always a temptation to go there but I usually end up buying one too many books.  These days I’m gradually switching over to reading all e-books. However, there’s just something about holding a book in your hand and the smell that rises when you turn the pages that makes it hard to give up my addiction to them. Anyone else share that sentiment?

Two workshops kicked off this week. Next month I’ll be teaching three at the same time which will be a first for me. Two of them are the two boot camp style ones so I know it’s going to be busy and fun too.

I’m still working on my back titles which is slowing down the work on my three WIP. I hope to get one first draft finished by this time next week. That will be another one in my Big Sky County series. So many ideas and so little time…

Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
