Summer’s officially here which means loads of sites and publications are issuing their summer reading lists. I’ve always been an avid reader but five years ago got into the habit of reading three books at one time. Why the sudden need to read more? My uncle was diagnosed with a brain tumor and died six weeks later. That was a wake up call not only to write more but read more too.
Whatever your reason for reading a good book here are links to two lists I’ve found over the last few weeks-

Things are very quiet in the writing business this time of the year which is the perfect time to put together pitches and set up work assignments for the fall and beyond. And also on my to-do list is clean and reorganize my desk and the surrounding area. It’s surprising how quickly things can get out of control when you’re busy.
It looks like my How To Write a Romance Novel is ahead of schedule. I’ve just submitted a proposal for another writing related book that I hope will be a helpful resource for fellow writers.
I’m about 25,000 words into my new romantic suspense story and having lots of fun.
Finally got the cover of last week’s release from Cobblestone Press
Seeing a cover for the first time is always exciting. Now I’m getting ready for next month and the release of my second Perfect Pairing story with Evernight Publishing and I not sure yet, but I think Cobblestone will be releasing the second installment in this Just for Your Pleasure trilogy.
It’s a lovely day in my neck of the woods and it’s oh so tempting to head outside…thank goodness for laptops!
Have a good weekend and happy writing.
