Friday Ramblings From An Author-Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.

This week I began work on my first shifter story. I just can’t seem to leave cowboy themes alone so the heroine is once again sheriff of the county. It’s great trying new stuff because it takes you out of your comfort zone that so many of us get inside of and never leave.

I heard that my next release will be Feb 26th. Shane-Book One-Big Sky Cowboys. I’m waiting anxiously to see the cover. I know I shouldn’t but I keep checking my e-mail to see if it’s arrived.

It sort of reminds me back in the ‘old’ days when manuscripts were sent through snail mail and I’d wait by the window for that day’s mail. I never thought that maybe the mailman assumed I looked forward to his visit each day!

If I saw him carrying a large brown envelope I’d know it was yet another rejection and my heart would sink a little. I don’t know if getting rejected through e-mail is any easier. Well, hopefully it’s not because sometimes it’s the no, this isn’t right for us, that’s makes us sit down and write a better story.

Have a good weekend and happy writing.
