I was going to say it’s so hot today that you could fry an egg on the sidewalk but that would be a cliche and I’m a writer and should be able to come up with something better. However, my mind’s a blank right now.

And yes, we hit 500 followers this week. I’m being ambitious and thinking we can make it 1,000 by the time 2019 rolls around. At least that’s my goal so spread the word.
I don’t feel like I got a lot done this week because I’ve been in planning mode about future classes and projects. I thought I had a class to teach next month but that’s not the case. My apologies to anyone who tried to sign up for the self-publishing workshop. Now I have a month to focus on my WIPs and projects.
I did get work done on my mystery. The weekend only project thing is working perfectly. I also discovered I don’t like the opening to the story. I wrote it about five years ago (yes, it’s been sitting on my laptop that long), and I told myself, you can do better than this now. Anyone else look at older work and almost cringe?

Looks like the weekend’s going to be a hot one so working on my mystery wins while pulling the weeds in the flower beds loses out.
