Friday Ramblings From An Author-Welcome to February

This week’s flown by and you know I usually say that but I’m still convinced it’s only Wednesday.

Two new workshops kicked off on the 1st and I’m glad to say there’s a healthy turnout in each of them. It’s great to see so many students who are taking the first step to realizing their dream of one day writing a book.

Speaking of which I’ve been switching back and forward between fiction and non-fiction all week and it’s actually been fun. Out of the blue an idea for a non-fiction book came into my head and I’ve been working on it ever since.

I’m way behind with all my fiction titles and getting my old titles revamped and up and selling again is a slow process. It gets even scarier when I think that starting in April and ending in March of 2021, I get rights back to one, sometimes two of my books, each month.

I was asked the other day if I’ll ever go back to the regular publishing mode and the answer is no. Sometimes I do think I’m crazy to handle everything on my own but for me the fun part is learning something new every day. Sometimes I mess up big time but that’s all part of the process. This week’s new skill was learning to design book covers. Two are in the work up stage but when they’re done I’ll share them with you.

Have a good week and happy writing to all.
