I saw this in an e-mail I received last week and thought it was such a great idea that I had to share it with you. What better way to start our 2020 Wednesday Writing Prompts than with a challenge. Fellow author, Ray Daley has set himself the challenge of writing a story a day. Not just writing one, but submitting it too. If you follow the link, you’ll find out more, and Ray also kindly shares a list of possible markets ( I might even check them out to see if any are interested in being featured here at TWL). Most of them are science fiction markets but Ray also has a list of horror markets too so I’m sure you’ll find something of interest and possibly the perfect match for your tale. Maybe you could even use one of last year’s prompts for the challenge-
Have fun and happy writing.
A minor correction. You don’t have to write a story every day, you can use stuff you’ve already written.
I found the horror markets a lot harder to get active paying open links for which is why there are so many repeats. As a published horror writer myself I’d direct folks to The Dark Markets or Horror Tree for all the best horror market links.
Hi Ray, thank you for putting together this challenge and for the list of possible markets. Happy writing, Susan.
