Happy New Year to you. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
So are you ready for a new year of writing?
We’ll be back to the normal schedule next week starting with Monday Motivation. Anything you’d especially like to see on TWL in 2019? I’m thinking about Saturday seminars that will focus on one particular area of writing, say like writing better dialogue. And would anyone be interested in journal writing where you’d get a month of journaling prompts? This one might have to be a paid membership but at this point I’d just like to gauge the interest in the topic.
And on the subject of classes…they also begin on Monday too. One (common writing problems) looks like it might be cancelled because we don’t have enough people. The self pubbing boot camp is full but if we’ve opened it up to more students. Here’s a link to both classes-http://www.oirwa.com/forum/campus/
So what did I get up during the holiday break? I got lots of things organized, watched movies, and yes, I even released a new book. I’d had this one sitting on my computer for a long time and thought New Year, resolutions, people might have wanting to get their money life in better shape so Fabulously Frugal-A 30 Day Money Makeover was released and even made it to a bestseller’s list on Amazon.
For those of you who don’t know, my first writing gigs as a freelance writer were for business publications and for about three years I wrote exclusively on business and money topics. I even had my own column for one of the local newspapers.
Here’s the cover (yes, made it myself), and yesterday I switched it to KDP Select on Amazon so that’s the only place you’ll find it for the next 90 days. Hope you’ll check it out.
The whole 30 day makeover gave me an idea for a new series of books but more about that in future Ramblings.
Finally, what are your goals for the year? For this site, it’s to grow it to at least 1,000 followers and be one of the top go to places for new and established writers. I hope you’ll be along for that journey.
Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
Happy new year! Excited to read more ????
