This week almost mirrored last week because I’ve been doing a little of everything again.
I had two students finish their writing courses. I’m always sad to see them go.
I got another book uploaded to Kobo and B and N, and worked on my shifter story. And yes, finished the first draft of my new historical series which will be called Regency Rakes and Rogues. I even got the cover designed…more about that and a sneak peek next week. I hope to have the second draft finished soon and I’ll be using the services of one of the editors who has edited some of my books that are published by Evernight. She’s great to work with and I’m a fan of her editing style too.
This will be the first time I’m self pubbing a fiction book from scratch. So far I’ve tackled non-fiction and re-publishing an older story. I look at it as an adventure where you get to wear all the hats, take all the blame, and hopefully all of the praise too. Yes, it’s a lot of work but I’ve decided that I want about 50% of my books to be published via the indie route now. It’s almost like once you get a feel for it, you get hooked.
The weather too has been somewhat of a mirror of last week. I’m not a fan of humidity, and unfortunately where I live, it’s a common thing. On the plus, side I stay in and write or read. So it can’t be all bad.
Have a fun week and happy writing.
