Two words I hate to see in the weather forecast are Polar Vortex. It’s cold, no correct that, it’s friggin’ cold and only going to get colder. When the forecasted high has a negative sign in front of you, you know you don’t want to go outside…well, at least I don’t.
I always say look for a silver lining in everything and here’s my take on dealing with winter. When it’s this cold, it’s the perfect time to sit by the fire and write. In fact, I’ve written so much non-fiction these last couple of weeks that I’m in dire need of a fiction fix.
Speaking of non-fiction…I told you one of my students released a self-pubbed book last week and I know she won’t mind me sharing the cover with you. She used Canva for her design and I think she did a great job. Now she’s working with me again while she writes her cozy mystery. Way to go, Erin!
And I released another non-fiction title this week. I have a new series called 30 Day Makeovers and this one is all about decluttering. Here’s the cover
I’m almost ready to record my next Skillshare class which is on the to do list for Monday. I’m also working on four new on demand classes over at The Writing Room…more about that soon.
And it’s almost February so two new classes at OIRW will begin soon (Feb 4th to be exact). The first one is a regular class about plotting your novel. The second one is a boot camp and that’s all about writing a synopsis. Remember you don’t have to be a member of OIRW to take the classes and they’re not only for romance writers so whatever you write, they’re for you too.
Here’s the link if you want to check them out, scroll down until you find them listed under February-

Feels like the end to another busy week. I’m going to finish it out with some fiction writing and then catch up with my art classes…I’m way behind.
Have a good week and happy writing to all.
