What’s Ahead in 2020?

Despite this week’s busy schedule, I’ve taken a few hours here and there to work on plans for This Writer’s Life in 2020.

I’ve asked myself if I want to take it in a new direction. My answer, not really. I’m happy with the content and I hope you are too.

I’d like to include more writing technique posts because I know many of you enjoy them.

I know you all like Motivational Mondays and Wednesday Writing Prompts so those are definitely staying throughout 2020.

I always get people who are interested in becoming full time freelance writers contact  about how to get started.  I’m intending to devote one post at least once a month to offering you tips on doing just that.

Guest bloggers…yes, I love having them add to the content but I’m going to try a different format. I’ll have a set of the same questions that everyone will answer and people will be able to add a book cover and a link to their web site so they’ll still get the same promotional value. I’ll have a sign up form ready next week and I’ll tell you more about this new feature then.

I also want to do more interviews with editors and publishers because I know looking for places to submit work is always something us writers need.

One thing that’s been on my mind is updating the site with possibly a new theme. This one’s stayed the same for close to two years and I’m thinking an overhaul might be fun. I’ll probably experiment with graphics and a new format over the holiday break.

That’s about it for things on my list. What do you think? Anything you’d like to see, anyone you’d love to see me interview…can’t promise anything but I’ll do my best.
