Today, J. L. Regen is back guest blogging and telling us about how things that happen in life sometimes find a way into books. And she’s happy to share the news that her book is nominated for Romance Book of the Year by Readers Choice Good luck, we’re cheering for you.
I was dating a man like Edward but unlike Edward and Margo in the book, my prospective had too much emotional baggage to make a commitment. I got to thinking what if there was a HEA and, Secret Desires was born.
I’m glad that I didn’t marry my date man because he was too busy with his career to concentrate on us. As to the title of this piece, I do believe that love can come at any age.You have to be open to it. Yes, it’s hurtful when the person you loved is not the right one for you, but that is where a purposeful life comes in volunteer for a cause, help a senior in need, or adopt a pet. Anything and everything you do to further the quality of your life will bring you closer to finding that special someone. My mother once said, “A watched pot of water never boils. You have to go away from it to give the bubbles time to rise.”
By the way, often, as was the case with me, my first choice led to my second–the right one for me.
