Friday Ramblings From An Author-January Wrap Up

Thank you to everyone who began following This Writer’s Life this week. I really appreciate it.

January is just about done, February has one more day this year and yes, it’s snowing again. Good news is I did get started on my winter reading list. I always pick a few non-fiction titles, and thought this time around, I’d begin with one of them. I told my followers over at Budget Smart Girl about it and thought I’ll share it with you too. It’s by Julia Cameron and titled It’s Never Too Late To Begin Again. I began reading it last week and have been continuing to read it every spare minute I have. If you’ve been putting off doing something in your life, or think you’re too old (to say write a book), think again!

I have two classes beginning on Monday. I’ll be teaching the Writing the Continuing Series class as a boot camp for the first time. I have to say I think the workbook is one of the best I’ve created so far. I hate to admit it but it was so much fun it didn’t seem like work. The other class is Writing an Erotic Romance. You don’t have to be a member of OIRWA to register, and besides the erotic romance one, you can write in any genre. We’re low on numbers at the moment, so spread the word or even register yourself. Here’s the link and scroll down to February.

This week, I created the classes and have the workbook about 90% done for the Promoting Your Book boot camp. Once that’s done, I’ll be working on the lessons and workbooks for the summer retreat. I’ll also be planning the classes I’ll be loading onto my own site.

As it’s a new month, on Wednesday, we’ll give the prompts a slight twist. Hope you’ll like it.

Thank you to Caroline and Tricia for being this week’s guest bloggers.

So, that’s a wrap for January.

Have a fun week and happy writing to all.
