Another week that’s just flown by and I’ve been doing something of everything. I even ate lunch in front of the TV and watched tennis at Wimbledon every day. I got my edits for my next release, and a release date of August 30th for Cash which is book seven in my Big Sky County series….

Friday Ramblings From An Author-Almost Finished My WIP
The June workshop concluded today which means I have a two month break to get caught up on the books I plan to self publish in September. I also hope to get some serious reading done too. Remember I’ve set myself the goal of reading twenty books between now and September. The weather’s been perfect and…
Monday Writing Prompt-Mother Nature
We hear about rivers drying up, hurricanes, and earthquakes, so in your story what force of Mother Nature is your character up against? Have fun and happy writing.
Friday Ramblings From An Author-My New Office Buddy
Another busy week doing a little of this and a little of that. Writing, doing edits for my upcoming release, teaching and tutoring. I’m now almost 20,000 words into my WIP, and about a quarter of the way through the revamp of an older title I’ll be releasing as a self-published book in the fall….
Friday Ramblings From An Author-Summer’s Almost Here
Only one week left of spring 2015. Next weekend I’ll begin reading the first book on my summer reading list. I’m not sure exactly which one it will be. Do you sometimes find you’re in the mood for a certain genre? It’s not necessarily the book you don’t like but sometimes you’d rather read something humorous or…

I saw this new resource today called Book Life from Publisher’s Weekly and if like me you self publish books this might come in handy- http://booklife.com/services Another workshop started this week and for June the numbers…
My 2015 Summer Reading List
Summer’s almost upon us and here is my list of the twenty books I’ll (or attempt to) read from June 21st until September 23rd. They’re in no particular order. Some are from my winter reading list that I didn’t get to. Four are non-fiction titles. Some are in print form and the rest are stored on…
Friday Ramblings From An Author-The Last One in May
May’s winding down and for once I got to cross off everything on my to do list. A rare thing for me. I usually put too much on it and end the month disappointed and frustrated. A new workshop (writing the continuing series) begins on Monday. Although we’re not yet at the half way mark of…
Monday Writing Prompts-First Line
Here’s something different to try for this week’s writing prompt. Look at the first line in the book you’re currently reading (or the last book you read), and use it as the opening of your own short story. Have fun and happy writing.
Friday Ramblings From An Author-A New Book and Another Freebie Friday
It’s a holiday weekend for those in the US and UK so I decided to get an early start and had what I called a take it easier Friday. I think I deserved some time off because I got two projects finished this week. I loaded the fourth book in the Writing Genre Fiction Series…
